Five 4-H members from Eddy County competed April 24 in the county's 4-H Communication Arts Contest held at the NDSU Extension Eddy County Building. Extension Agent Donna Anderson evaluated the presentations. The Communication Arts Contest is the 4-H speech and demonstration competition that is held at the county level, district level and state contest level. Participants are encouraged to use their own creativity and originality in preparing their public presentation. The Communication Arts program is open to any youth involved in extension youth programs. It includes three age divisions: the Cloverbuds (youth 5-7 years old), the Junior division (youth 8-12 years old), and the Senior division (youth ages 13-18).
Rosettes were provided to event winners, as well as participation ribbons for non-competitive Cloverbuds. Below is the list of awards winners in their category, along with the titles of the presentations. The contest participants are eligible to compete in the District 4-H Communication Arts Contest to be held in McClusky on June 2, 2021.
