Talk of the Town: May 3, 2021

Todd Harrison, Alex and Veronica were visitors and helpers at the Shirley Packard home on Saturday. Last Friday, Deanna Seibold of Fessenden stopped briefly at the Packard home to drop off several masks she had made.

Heidi Schneider of Devils Lake drove her mother, Eloise Lucht, to Grand Forks on Wednesday where Eloise had an appointment for her eyes.

Janet Laube enjoyed a phone call from sister-in-law Lois Ockert from Fargo, announcing more babies born into the family. Janet also heard from niece Shelly Nelson from Oklahoma. Shelly will be arriving at Janet’s soon for a visit, and will also visit sisters and other family in Fargo before she returns to Oklahoma.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin were among the many who attended and enjoyed the Carrington Elementary School Program one evening. Grandchildren Carter, Chevelle and Kerigan took part in the entertaining program.

Eloise Lucht heard from her sister Ann who is from Alaska. She was reporting that her son Randy is home from extensive time and surgeries in a hospital in Anchorage. Randy is happy to be home, is in good spirits and is looking down a long road to recovery. Randy was injured in a snowmobile accident several weeks ago.

Calvin Packard and mom, Shirley, were out and about doing some shopping on Thursday.

Eloise Lucht was happy to hear that son Larry and daughter-in-law Irene Lucht of Virginia and other family plan to make a trip to New Rockford in June.
