The Trailriders 4-H group April meeting was held on April 18 at 4 p.m., at the Evangelical Free Church. This time, all 14 members were present. We did not have anyone on Zoom.
In our meeting, we discussed that 4-H members need six meetings or activities to participate in the 4-H Achievement Days. We also learned that to join the shooting sports program, members need to complete hunter safety training, and be at least 12 years old.
Some of the 4-H members did Sheep Lease. Sheep Lease is a program that 4-H provides to allow members to experience raising animals. We discussed a couple of items concerning those who will have an animal in the Sheep Lease program.
After the meeting, we did a project. Our project involved string art and it was taught by the leader, Rebecca. This month, after completing our projects, we had supper. Pizza and tiny cake snacks were provided. We also had a juice box with it.
The Trailriders next meeting is on May 2 starting at 11:30 a.m. We will be participating in blacksmithing at noon, at the Eddy County Fairgrounds. Finally, the LegenDairy event is on June 6 for those who want to participate.
