Area folks extend sympathy to the family of Claude Dreher.
Roger Topp enjoyed a country drive around his old stomping grounds, the Grace City area, on Thursday, when his brother Raymond picked him up from the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd.
Monday, Shirley Packard rode the Eddy County Transportation van to a medical appointment in Carrington. Thursday, Margie Bohnet gave Shirley a ride to a hair appointment, after which the gals enjoyed lunch at the Bird Dawg Cafe.
Tuesday found Ken and Marvis Holte doing a bit of shopping in Devils Lake. Then, they picked up their daughter Fayette Nelson and brought her home with them. The evening found them, along with Cody and Amanda Bickett, out for supper at the Prairie Inn in Carrington. Wednesday, the Holtes and Fayette enjoyed coffee and a snack at the Prairie Inn and later a dinner at the Holtes’ home with a special chocolate cake, candles and the works, made by Amanda Bickett in celebration of Fayette’s 50th birthday. The gals also enjoyed chatting over coffee on Wednesday at the Garden Gate in Carrington. Fayette returned home to Devils Lake later Wednesday.
Sunday found Janet Laube and YipYip happy and surprised by a visit from niece Lisa and Keith Paulson from Gully, Minn. MarJean Pfau also visited, bringing a yummy hot dish.
George Topp and Roger Topp enjoyed a visit outside at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd on Wednesday.
Shirley Packard enjoyed phone chats this week from her sister Vida Klocke of Underwood and Leona Magnuson of the Grace Lutheran Church in Carrington.
Sunday evening, daughter Amanda Bickett stopped in at the Ken and Marvis Holte home, where all enjoyed a hand and foot card game.
Janet Laube’s sister-in-law, Lois Ockert of Fargo, called her several times this past week just checking in.
