Margie Anderson, Janet Laube and Charlotte Koepplin met Jerry and Carol Clancy at the Bird Dawg on Thursday at noon, and enjoyed a visit over dinner which was Jerry’s treat. The Clancys had driven over from Thompson to place flowers on their loved ones’ graves at Prairie Home Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day.

Charlotte Koepplin sent her congratulations to grandniece Zaylie McMonagle, way down in Goodyear, Arizona, where she proudly graduated from kindergarten. Zaylie is the daughter of Jay and Trisha (Koepplin) McMonagle.

Margie Anderson drove to Sheyenne on Thursday afternoon and enjoyed a visit at the Peter and Patti Larson home, where she wished granddaughter Sandra good luck on her summer job in Minneapolis. Patti drove Sandra to Minneapolis on Friday.

Sunday, Jimmy Indergaard enjoyed a visit and dinner with Andy and Ruth Braaten and Noelle at the Braaten home.

Sunday, Charlotte Koepplin and Janet Laube enjoyed a country drive that took them to the Grace City Cemetery, where Charlotte Koepplin decorated graves of loved ones. They then were on their way across the country, finding themselves passing Warwick and down the Wood Rutten Road, and into Devils Lake where they had lunch at the Cedar Inn. Then they were on their way back to New Rockford. Later in the evening, Charlotte drove out to Prairie Home Cemetery and placed flowers on loved ones’ graves in honor of Memorial Day.

Charlotte Koepplin, Candy Jensen and Janet Laube were in Harvey on Tuesday, where they had medical appointments, after which they enjoyed dinner at Hornbachers Café.

Jane Sampson was in New Rockford on Thursday, where she visited loved ones’ graves at Prairie Home Cemetery. Then she sought out Margie Anderson, finding her at the Bird Dawg, where they had a great catch-up chat. Jane brought some baked goodies to Margie. She then returned to her home in Devils Lake. Jane is the daughter of the late Stan and Helen Sampson.

Last Saturday, Jimmy Indergaard was a visitor to the Dennis and Fran Walen home, bringing second birthday wishes to one of the Walens’ grandchildren.

Charlotte Koepplin is enjoying some mighty fine potato salad that Kathleen and John Lee dropped off on Monday morning on their way to Sheyenne, where they took part in the Memorial Day Celebration and dinner at Ostby Hall.

Margie Anderson was pleasantly surprised recently when a former elementary student she had, while teaching at Sheldon Township Rural School, Eddy County, dropped by. The student, Dean Kurtz, credits Margie with giving him a good start to his education. Monday found Margie Anderson among those who enjoyed the VFW sponsored ham dinner and program at Ostby Hall in Sheyenne in honor of veterans and Memorial Day.
