The New Rockford swimming pool opened on Thursday, June 3, and locals were eager to take a dip in the cool water. Jax Demester was one of many kids enjoying a break from the heat Wednsesday, diving off the board. Other than Tuesday, when a line of afternoon thunderstorms kept patrons from swimming, the pool has been open daily. Lifeguards are on deck Monday-Thursday from 1 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., with three open sessions. Friday through Sunday, there are two open sessions offered, with the pool open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
