Ronald Jay Bower, 71, of Rosemount, Minn. passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, located one mile north of Bremen, N.D.
Ron was born on April 1, 1949 at City Hospital in New Rockford, the first born child of Austin W. and Corrine F. (Guler) Bower, who lived and farmed northwest of Bremen, N.D., until they moved into Bremen in 1963. He attended grade school in Bremen, and graduated from Fessenden High School in 1967. He attended North Dakota State College of Science for auto body repair. He worked at Pfau Brothers Auto Body and Archie Campbell Road Construction of New Rockford before moving to Denver, Colo., where he began working in building construction. Ron married Terri Rucker on March 9, 1974 and they later moved to Bismarck, N.D., and then Cottage Grove, Minn., where he continued working in building construction. He and Terri later divorced. Ron married Toni on May 16, 1992, and he retired in April of 2006.
He was preceded in death by his wife Toni, his parents, his grandparents Lewis W. and Mabel (Neer) Bower and John and Elisa (Roffler) Guler, brothers-in-law Samuel Chesson and Neale Heskin, and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by daughters Tanya (Barry) Peterson and Jessica Bower; grandsons Zackary Peterson, and Thaddeus Monsen; sisters Vicky Chesson and Janet Heskin; uncle Robert (Myrna) Bower; three nieces and three nephews; and many cousins.
