Post #30 ran their record to 10-1 and 4-1 in district, with a 4-3 win over the Jamestown Blues on June 28. Pitching and defense were strong in this game for the first five innings. Both starting pitchers, Nick Berglund for NR-S and Carson Orr for Jamestown, were dealing early.
Jamestown was able to score first in the sixth inning. Adam Sortland started the inning with a walk and scored on a bunt by Jacob Webster and an error. Webster scored on a triple off the bat of Tyson Jorissen.
The Sox came back and took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Alex Harrison started the inning with a single. The next two batters made outs. NR-S then had a two-out rally. Koby Duda singled, Johnny Grann walked and Trevor Waldo doubled to score Harrison and Duda. Grann scored on an error off the bat of Connor Knatterud. Waldo scored on a ground ball error hit by Koven Walford.
There were some nervy moments in the bottom of the seventh. Harrison came in to pitch and gave up a lead-off triple to Preston Gall. Gall scored on a ground out. After another single, Harrison was able to strand the tying run on base to end the game.

In game two, New Rockford won 11-3 on the strength of a six-run second inning. Knatterud, Grann and Waldo scored two runs each in the game. Kadon Hilbert, DJ Mudgett, Keaton Cudworth and Bradyn Collier also contributed with single runs.
Grann started the game for the Sox and pitched four innings. Haydon Meier pitched the final inning. Jorissen started for the Blues and gave up eight runs before Preston Gall relieved him in the second inning. Gall finished the game, giving up three additional runs.
