Doris Griffin has a mystery in her barnyard. One guinea hen nested in the tall grass. When the hen left her nest for a sip of water and some food, Doris counted at least 44 eggs. Usually, two hens tend a nest, but this one was alone. The hen sat on her nest for two weeks and when Doris checked the nest, the hen has vanished, but the eggs were still all there. Two days later, Doris checked the nest and all the eggs were gone, but two. Next check, those two were also gone. The mystery is what happened to the hen? What took the eggs, without seemingly breaking any, as there is no evidence of shells or yolk anywhere? Skunks and raccoons leave a mess when they raid a nest. Anybody have any idea what could have taken the eggs?
