Eddy County Public Health is hosting a Back-to-School Immunization Clinic to get families prepared for school.
The walk-in vaccine clinic is set for Wednesday, Aug. 11 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Eddy County Public Health, located at 24 8th Street North in New Rockford.
"It's probably one of the first times we've offered vaccines after hours," said Danette Schmid, Eddy County Public Health Nurse.
The primary purpose of the clinic is to help families meet school vaccine requirements for students of all grade levels. All required and recommended vaccines will be available.
COVID-19 vaccines will also be available to all residents 12 years and older. Parents and children can all be vaccinated at the same time.
"Stop in and get those vaccines up to date," Schmid advised.
Children under the age of 18 do need written parental consent. Adults are also asked to bring their insurance card. The cost of vaccines is covered under most insurance plans.
Appointments are not necessary. Walk-ins are welcome.
