Joe Schmid of Fargo spent the weekend with his parents, Howard and Helen. The family attended the burial service for Mimi Tweten at the Oberon cemetery on Saturday.
Sharon Mudgett and family celebrated her daughter, Penny Friesen’s birthday on Wednesday.
Doris Griffin attended the meeting of the RCMD council which was held at the Hofstad Precision Ag Center, at the Lake Region State College on Thursday evening. The meeting regarded employment, housing and related concerns following the Covid pandemic.
Friday evening, Doris attended a similar meeting with the North Central Planning Council at the Maddock library. A study is being done to find out how local entities are dealing with current and future employment, housing, road, health care and all community resources.
Last Saturday, Pam Schmid went to Hampden to attend the bridal shower for her niece, Tia Hermanson.
Sunday, Tom and Pam took in the North Dakota State Fair in Minot.
Friday, Lester Roberts and Midge Quam went to Lake Country Manor to listen to the music of Dakota Blende. Roger joined them to enjoy the music as well.
Lester went to Oberon on Saturday for Mimi Taylor Tweten’s burial service. Following the service, he attended fellowship at the Calvary Lutheran Church.
Sunday, Lester, Midge, Helen Ridley and Rita Waldorf went for a drive through White Horse Hill.
Carrie Prince traveled to Jamestown on Monday. She had lunch with her sister, Cathy Caulfield, and did some shopping.
Lacey and Johnny Grann went to Grand Forks Thursday evening to do some college school shopping for Johnny.
John and Donna went to Minot early Friday morning to pick up some cattle supplies.
Ben, Brittany and Dutton Grann went to Bathgate on Sunday to visit Brittany’s grandpa and her dad.
Friday afternoon, Lacey and Donna went to Devils Lake to the retirement party for Paul Thompson, long time NRCS employee.
Last Sunday, Todd and Nadley Buehler hosted lunch following the baptism of Milo Boyle, son of Scott and Kaia Pranke Boyle. The baptism was held at Viking Lutheran Church. Those joining them for lunch and visiting were Ted and Ann Sitz, Zoe and Ollie, Mike and Sherry Boehmer, Breana Pacheco, Mylee Kenner, Scott, Kaia, Cash, Presley and Milo Boyle, Laurie Pranke and Berkley Schwartzbauer, Jaden, Ami, Andrew, Tracy and Cameron Kallenbach, and Beau, Bria, Brittin and Brooks Buehler.
Brittin and Brooks helped watch their grandpa and grandma Buehler a couple of days last week.
Gary Hendrickson and Dave Kenner visited Todd last week.
Wednesday evening, Hunter and Grace Buehler, and Beau and Brittin Buehler, came to celebrate Nadley’s birthday with grilling and cake.
Sherry Boehmer joined Nadley on Tuesday for a day in Grand Forks to celebrate Nadley’s birthday.
Carlyle and Dianne Nelson were Wednesday visitors of Todd and Nadley and later, visited Hunter and Grace.
Randy and Charlotte Simon, Carol Tweten and Susan Burgstahler visited Todd and Nadley Saturday afternoon.
Friday evening, Melodie, Kennedee, McKenzee and Linda Madson, and Michael and Amy Jacobson celebrated our neighbor, Mr. Syl Brown’s 94th birthday with supper and cake, and a golf cart ride around the neighborhood.
