Richard Lively
Oak Grove, Mo.
Richard (Rich) Warren Lively, 78, passed away in the Oak Grove Nursing home in Oak Grove, Mo.., Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Rich was born in New Rockford, N.D. to William E. Lively and Alice Trowbridge on May 7, 1943. He attended school in New Rockford and two years of college at NDSU in Fargo, N.D. Rich married Veronica Lies on December 29, 1968 in Fargo, N.D. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He learned the electrical trade in New Rockford, and joined the IBEW electrical union local 1426. Later, he became a master electrician in Mandan, N.D. In his youth, Rich worked for his brother William Lively, who owned Skippy Construction of Moorhead, Minn.
Rich and Bunny welcomed four daughters in North Dakota, and later moved to Napoleon, Mo., where they have lived for the last 32 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings William, Ella Mae, Robert C., and Clifford Lively, and beloved grandson Drew.
Richard is survived by his wife; four daughters Tammy (Josh) Shroyer, Trisha (Joe) Vann, Tiffanie (Delaney) Harris and Tara (Randy) Silver; 10 grandchildren; two sisters Lorraine Calvert and Phyllis Smerud and many nieces and nephews.
