Monday, Charlotte Simon and eight other members of the Association of Carefree Teachers went to Nome, N.D., with several stops along the way. They toured the renovated schoolhouse called Shephard Industries-Fiber Arts. They produce yarn made from sheep, llama and alpaca wool, and sell it. The teachers were served lunch and then toured the school. There are 11 sleeping rooms, a center for parties, wedding receptions etc., a reception area, office space, a classroom where they have classes, and a retail store.
Friday, Charlotte attended the funeral for John Duchscher. Charlotte’s brother, Rodney is married to John and Bernie’s daughter, Colette.
Randy and Charlotte traveled to Grand Forks on Saturday to visit the Thompson family - Carson, Heidi, Elin and Max. The Simon’s then went on to Oxbow to visit Mark, Tessa, Mason and Miles Simon. They returned home on Sunday evening and drove through a downpour in Oberon.
Bobbi Grann and Emersyn are staying with Grandpa and Grandma Grann through harvest.
Lacey Grann competed in the Ranch Rodeo at the Sheyenne Stampede on Saturday.
Ben Grann judged the High School Rodeo in Mandan over the weekend.
Sunday, Johnny Grann came home from college in Jamestown and had supper with his family.
Craig, Sandy and Kinley Poulsen were lunch guests at Dave and Linda Madson’s on Wednesday.
Kinley was a Friday evening visitor at Melodie Madson’s home.
Carrie Prince was an overnight guest at Melodie’s home on Friday.
Melodie, Carrie and Linda had a garage sale at Melodie’s garage on Saturday.
