Alice (Loffelmacher) Moen, 68 years old, of Spring Lake Park passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2021.
Born in New Rockford, N.D. on February 8, 1953 to Hugo and Marion (Gress) Loffelmacher. Alice grew up on the family farm in McHenry, N.D., the tenth of 11 children. She loved to share stories about growing up in rural North Dakota and we often teased her about the long walk to school in the winter, uphill both ways. Alice began her career with Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator in the early 1970's, and retired a Directory Service Coordinator in 2002.
Anyone who knew Alice will tell you about her crazy humor and if you really knew her, you also knew her stubborn streak, and that she loved to laugh. She was the life of the party and loved having company over whether it be family or hosting Christmas with the neighbors. Besides cherishing every moment with her husband, she loved her children and her grandchildren.
Alice will be dearly missed by the love of her life and husband of 25 years, James Moen; two sons Cory (Peg) Nelson and children Jessica and Reid, and Leslie (Katie Campbell) Haar and daughter Lillian; two daughters Aimee (Walter) Doege and children Cody and Kyle Oetterer, and Wendi (John) Nelson of Big Lake, Minn.; bonus children Ryan Moen and Melissa (James) Buchanan and children Nicklaus and Mariah; two brothers Duane Loffelmacher and John (Dee) Loffelmacher; three sisters Shirley Dreher, Peggy Loffelmacher and Joan (Ray) Fasano; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and her faithful dog Charlee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hugo and Marion, brothers Art, Peter and Rodney, and sisters Mary and Audrey.
A celebration of life took place at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
