Friday, Shirley Packard kept an eye appointment in Jamestown. She took the South Central Transit out of Carrington, which is public transportation.
Janet Laube and YipYip enjoyed a phone call with niece Shelly Nelson, from her home in Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Lois Ockert of Fargo. Lois will soon be in the process of making a blanket for her first great-grandchild.
Mary Gerhtz was a Thursday helper at the Shirley Packard home, and on Tuesday, Calvin Packard and Kevin Johnson rearranged Shirley’s furniture.
Wednesday, Ken and Marvis Holte were among those who attended the Young-At-Heart gathering at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington, where they enjoyed the music of Dakota Blend. Sunday, they took in the annual fall turkey supper at Trinity.
Eloise Lucht was delighted to get the news of the birth of great-granddaughter Kelsey Ann, born on Oct. 6, to grandson Kevin and Amber Lucht of West Virginia. Kelsey weighed in at 8 pounds and 10 ounces. Kevin is the son of Larry and Irene Lucht. Eloise has two more great-grands on the way.
