Ronald (Ron) Peterson, 72, of Valley City, N.D., passed away Oct. 25, 2021, under the care of hospice at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.
A graveside burial will be in the spring of 2021 at the Lakeview Cemetery, rural Cathay.
Ron was born in New Rockford, N.D. on April 8, 1949 to Rienold and Edith (Anderson) Peterson. Ron graduated from Cathay High School, Cathay, N.D. in 1967.
On July 11, 1970, Ron married Donna Lynn Broschat. They had a daughter Tami and a son Shane.
Ron worked various types of construction throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his daughter Tamara Elefson, Belfield, N.D.; his son Shane (Teri) Peterson, Dickinson, N.D.; sisters Renea (Dareld) Bellquist, Fargo, N.D. and Mesa, Ariz., and Rita (Kent) Tesch, Fessenden, N.D.; sister-in-law Barbra Peterson, Thermal, Calif.; four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother Keith A. Peterson; and nephew Keith A. Peterson, Jr.
