Chamber announces Jolly Jingle, Santa Day plans

Jolly Jingle is back! The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce will give away $1,000 to local shoppers this holiday season.

The promotion runs from Monday, Nov. 15 to Sunday, Dec. 12. Shoppers get an entry for each purchase of $10 or more from a participating business. Simply fill out the pink slip and drop it in the Jolly Jingle gift box at that business.

The more businesses you support, the more chances you have to win! Each participating business will also have a bonus drawing during the promotional period. On their designated day, each will draw a $25 winner from their entry box.

During Winterfest Week, Nov. 29 - Dec. 4, all purchases of $10 or more are good for two entries into the box.

The final drawing is set for Monday, Dec. 13. Up for grabs are (2) $100 prizes and (12) $25 prizes.

Watch for the bright pink “Jolly Jingle” signs in store windows/doors to indicate participating merchants. Also, look for yellow “Chamber bucks” signs to determine which businesses accept Chamber bucks, so you know where you can spend your winnings.

Save the date! Saturday, Dec. 4 is Santa Day, co-sponsored by the New Rockford Lions Club.

The day begins with a vendor show in the Brown Memorial Clubroom from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. A matinee showing of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Rockford Theatre begins at 1 p.m. Admittance is free with a non-perishable food or personal care item. Then, head over the Brown Memorial at 2 p.m. for the annual carnival and photos with Santa Claus himself!

Watch for the special Winterfest edition of the Transcript, in homes on Nov. 27. The paper will be chock full of holiday gift ideas, shopping tips, craft projects, recipes and more featuring local businesses. Make this season merry by supporting our local businesses!
