Weekend house guests at the Todd and Karen Koepplin farm were daughter Allyssa Lewis, Kenna and Grady of Dickinson. They visited aunts and uncles and grandparents while here, and tended to farm critters, and took care of some belated trick or treating.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin enjoyed a Sunday visit with granddaughter Kalli Koepplin of Minneapolis. Kalli brought white chicken chili to share for dinner. Martin and Janelle made a pork loin with carrots, cabbage and potatoes, and invited Charlotte Koepplin to also eat and visit with Kalli. And, it was a good visit indeed.

New Rockford and Carrington area folks extend sympathy to the families of Edgar Duda and Paul Hoppe.

Tuesday, Marvis Holte, Amanda Bickett and Holly Zieman enjoyed chatting over coffee and treats at the Garden Gate.

Travelers Dave and Cheryl Gabbert are in Tennessee where they attended a UND football game, and had a chance meeting with former classmates and UND fans, Sharon Indergaard Laxdal and Phil Gisi.

Marty Koepplin was a corn hauler on Saturday at the Todd Koepplin farm, and the harvest rolls on. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thursday, Amanda Bickett dropped in to visit mom Marvis Holte over tea and cookies.

Third Avenue North in New Rockford is missing the former residence of the late Slim and Ida Womacks’ home. All that is left are the many memories made there over the years by the Womacks family. The property remains in the family.

Wednesday, Heidi Schneider drove mom Eloise Lucht to Grand Forks, where she got good news following an eye appointment.

Saturday evening, Ken and Marvis Holte, Cody and Amanda Bickett, and Merle and Sheila Bickett enjoyed supper at the Pizza Ranch in celebration of Amanda’s birthday. Later all went to Ken and Marvis’ to share a special cake.

Robin Westall and Lois Ockert enjoyed phone calls with sister-in-law and aunt, Janet Laube, recently.
