Jeanne Trowbridge, 89, formerly of Williston, N.D. died peacefully on Dec. 12, 2021 in Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, N.D.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington. Rev. Rick Loewen officiated. Honorary bearers were Brian Anderson, Ivan Gunderson, Austin Haugen, Zach Haugen, Mason White, Kevin Anderson, Shane Anderson and all of Jeanne's family.
Jeanne Edith Patton was born May 17,1932, in Williston, N.D., the eldest daughter of Eli Patton and Isabelle (Hanson) Patton. Jeanne lived in Williston most of her life while attending school.
Jeanne met the love of her life, Duane Trowbridge, when she was nine years old. When Jeanne turned 18, Duane proposed and Jeanne accepted. Jeanne Patton and Duane Trowbridge were united at the Methodist Church parsonage in Williston, N.D. on Oct. 21, 1951. Jeanne spent most of her married life in Williston raising her seven children with Duane.
She worked for a few years at Jamie's Cafe. She worked as a volunteer grandparent at Headstart for many years. Jeanne would spend many weekends with Duane driving country roads.
Jeanne is survived by her children, David, Lake Charles, La.; Ken, Minot, N.D.; Lorena (Mike) Robinson, Tucson, Ariz.; Sheldon (Linda), Yucca Valley, Calif.; Dawnette (Ken) Peters, Aberdeen, S.D.; Don, Bismarck, N.D.; Michelle (Tate) Haugen, Wing, N.D.; sisters, Julie (Bill) Sorrel, Yuma, Ariz.; Doris (Mike) Gruber, Vernon, Ariz., many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; son, Robert Trowbridge; brothers, William and Daniel Patton; brothers-in-law Roland and LaVon Trowbridge; sisters-in-law, Helen Trowbridge, Phyllis Snider and Delores Belgarde.
