Mindy Skjerva brought Christmas greetings, gifts and goodies to Candy Jensen on Thursday. Christmas Eve visitors and supper guests at Candy’s were her son Jerrod and Angie Holte from Mapleton.

Janet Laube enjoyed Christmas wishes via phone calls from nieces Shelly Nelson and Robin Westal, sister-in-law Lois Ockert and grandson Travis Laube. Janet enjoyed the Sheyenne Community turkey dinner on Christmas Day.

Christmas weekend guests at the Todd and Karen Koepplin farm were daughter Allyssa and Ross Lewis, Kenna and Grady from Dickinson. Christmas Day dinner guests at Todd and Karen’s were the Lewis’s, Aaron and Danielle Koepplin, Hendrix, Kerigan, Chevelle and Carter, and Charlotte Koepplin. Taylor, Amanda and Evelyn Koepplin came later. All enjoyed a white elephant gift exchange and getting acquainted with a new puppy named Roxy.

Calvin Packard and mom, Shirley, were among those who took in and enjoyed the Sheyenne Community turkey dinner on Christmas Day. Ostby Hall was busy as they served over two hundred people with a delicious meal again.

Christmas Day, Jerrod and Angie Holte stopped with greetings and gifts to the Ken and Marvis Holte home. They left, and Cody and Amanda Bickett and Izzy came bearing gifts and hors d’oeuvres to share and a cheesecake for dessert. The Holte’s received holiday calls from son Loren, Amber and McKenzie Holte from Bismarck, daughter Fayette Nelson of Devils Lake, son Jim and Cindy Birkholz of Minot, Marvis’ sisters Ardy and Bob Yates of Arkansas, Penny and Troy Sorrels of Minnesota, and brother Cory and Ava, and Mitch Birkholz of Grand Forks.

Prior to Christmas, Todd and Karen Koepplin and Taylor, and Amanda and Evelyn Koepplin took the opportunity to drive around New Rockford one evening eating popcorn and seeing all the Christmas lights and decorations.

Last Sunday, Bob and Cheryl Janzen and Pete Louters were supper guests at the Joan Leichtman home. Visiting over Scrabble was fun.

Eloise Lucht was a Friday to Sunday guest at the Jay and Heidi Lucht home in Devils Lake. Christmas Eve, homemade Knoephla soup was enjoyed. They enjoyed a drive around Devils Lake to see Christmas lights and decorations. Christmas Day started out with Jay getting an ambulance ride to Grand Forks and getting some repair work done as part of the results of some recent homoplastic surgery. All taken care of and they were back in Devils Lake early afternoon. All is well and the Christmas celebration continued.

Niece Brenda Nelson Nealis of Oklahoma called Janet Laube and YipYip with holiday wishes on Christmas. It was 70 degrees there.

Eloise Lucht got Christmas calls from son Alan and Julie from Germany. They were having duck and cabbage; son Larry and Irene out in Virginia were having prime rib. Son Scott and Kim of Minnesota called with holiday greetings.
