Jeff Labrenz received a plaque of appreciation for 15 years of working for the Larson Farm and Ranch in Sheyenne. The recognition took place at the Route 281 Station where area farmers get together Saturday mornings for breakfast.
Peter and Patti Larson feel fortunate to have an employee who is so hardworking and dependable going on 16 years. Jeff grew up on a farm near the North Dakota/South Dakota border. He moved to Sheyenne and started Jeff's Electric in 1980. He has been on the Sheyenne Fire Department for 41 years and also drives school bus for New Rockford - Sheyenne School.
Joanna and Sandra, Peter and Patti's daughters, were 10 and six years old when Jeff started working for the Larson's. His work ethic and can-do attitude has certainly been a positive influence in their lives. They said, "He is part of our family."
Besides field work and working cattle, his mechanical, electrical and carpentry skills have contributed greatly to the farm operation.
