Calvin Packard was at his mom Shirley Packard’s on Wednesday to read mail to her. Nephew Todd Harrison was at Shirley’s several times this past week to clear snow. Mary Gehrtz was there Friday to clean.

For fun, Eloise Lucht solved a family mystery of a new toilet seat. The joke was on her.

Janet Laube and YipYip heard from nieces Shelly Nelson of Oklahoma and Robin Westall of Fargo, this week. All's well with each of them.

Sunday, Shirley Packard enjoyed a phone call from nephew Pierrie Womacks from overseas. Pierrie is with the Military SeaLift Command and is in Spain, and will be there until July. Shirley’s other travelers, Dave and Cheryl Gabbert, are in Tampa, Fla., and plan to be there until the end of February.

Eloise Lucht became a great-grandmother for the seventh time, as grandson John and wife Allissa Lucht brought a seven pound baby boy into the world recently. John is the son of Alan and Julie Lucht. The new baby is the third grandchild for Alan and Julie.

Daughter Amanda Bickett was a Saturday visitor at the Ken and Marvis Holte home.

Granddaughter Evelyn Koepplin was a house guest this week at Todd and Karen Koepplin’s, and Tim and Bobbi Indergaard’s, while parents, Taylor and Amanda, and several friends enjoyed some time in Nashville.

Shirley Packard enjoyed a phone call recently with former New Rockford resident, Wilma Trauman Stenseth.

Janet Laube and YipYip enjoyed phone calls from niece Brenda Nillis and Shelly Nelson from Cashin, Okla. on Sunday. She also heard from grandson Travis Laube and sister-in-law Lois Ockert of Fargo.

Calvin Packard was at mom Shirley’s one day to help read her mail to her. Shirley is sight-impaired.

Wednesday, Marvis Holte and daughter Amanda Bickett enjoyed a chat and treats at the Garden Gate in Carrington, Amanda’s treat.

New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Janice Ridge.
