New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Wendy Lesmeister.

Janet Laube heard from niece Shelly Nelson of Oklahoma. Shelly is about to become a grandmother for the first time.

Monday Calvin Packard and mom, Shirley, took care of business at the Eddy County Courthouse and then did a little shopping around town.

Sunday Todd and Karen Koepplin and Janelle Koepplin were among family and friends to take 1st birthday greetings to nephew, cousin and grandson, Hendrix Koepplin, at his grandfather, Dan Beckley’s, Bar and Grill in Bordulac. Hendrix is the son of Aaron and Danielle Koepplin.

Friday Cindy Toben of Watertown, S.D. flew to Tampa, Fla. for the weekend and celebrated her 60th birthday with her sister Cheryl and Dave Gabbert. Cindy and Cheryl are daughters of Shirley and the late Bob Packard.

Saturday visitor at the Ken and Marvis Holte home was daughter Amanda Bickett. They enjoyed visiting over tea and cookies.

Friday helper at the Shirley Packard home was Mary Gehrtz. Thursday Shirley conveniently boarded the Eddy County City bus and did some necessary shopping around New Rockford.

Candy Jensen got word that her brother, Rick Koepplin, underwent another surgery on a shoulder in Grand Forks and is reportedly doing okay.

Bill and Diana Ziegler were among the Circle Trail Riders to enjoy the Annual Family Party at the Wonder Lanes Bowling alley Friday evening.
