Several take podium at last regular season tournament

The New Rockford-Sheyenne archery team competed in their final regular archery tournament on March 12 in Rolla before heading to Minot on March 18-19 to shoot their hearts out in the state bullseye and 3-D tournaments.

Layton Jacobson brought home third place overall in boys with a shot of 270 with 10 tens. Jacobson also placed second in the middle school boys and seventh grade boys divisions. Hunter Genre also shot a score of 270, but fell to Jacobson by one ten, only shooting nine. Genre took fourth in overall boys, second in high school boys and first in ninth grade boys. Jacobson placed fifth overall in the 3-D tournament, whereas Genre took sixth.

Rockets' sixth graders Sawyer Huso, Beau Baumbach and Koy Zieman also placed in the top ten. Huso shot a score of 268 with 10 tens, taking first in sixth grade boys, third in middle school boys and fifth in overall boys. Layton Jacobson won the middle school round. Macey Wobbema was the last Rockets' archer in the high school round, but lost to a Wilton archer.

Congrats to all the Rocket archers on their achievements thus far.
