During the apple shoot, archers were given two shots to hit the apple in the first round. If they missed, they were eliminated. In subsequent rounds, they had one shot to hit the apple or be eliminated. NR-S ninth grader, Hunter Genre, was the last archer standing in the apple shoot. Genre is shown at right with his father, Ryan Genre.

The NR-S Archery team recognized Jamie Risovi, previous head coach, for his dedication to start up the archery program in New Rockford-Sheyenne back in 2017. Risovi stated on a Facebook post, "We only had 2 goals on our team... try to improve your Personal Best score & have fun!" And that is what they did. Risovi coached many archers to become champions in both the state and national level and had many archers make the All State Team. The NR-S archery team has grown quickly to become one of the largest teams in North Dakota. Above, NR-S archery's lone senior, Macey Wobbema, had the honors of giving Coach Risovi a card signed by all of the current archers. Risovi also received a plaque, sign and keychain. Thank you, Coach Risovi, for starting this great program for NR-S. Your love and dedication for this sport shines through each and every archer out on that floor.

Archers were able to put their names in for a raffle drawing for a dice shaped target or a customized bow. Jacob Cleveland, shown above, was the lucky winner of the dice shaped target. Sophie Skogen, not pictured, was drawn for the customized bow. Skogen stated that the bow she has now will be given to her younger siblings, so then she could get a brand new customized bow.
