Summer Street Markets are on the way. Mark your calendars for the second Thursday of each month – June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11. The events will be held in downtown New Rockford from 4-8 p.m., with vendors in Centennial Park and activities along Central Avenue and 8th Street.
“Our goal is to bring in vendors, crafters, bakers, etc.,” NRABC Executive Director Amanda Hegland said Tuesday. This year they will be charging a $10 booth fee for vendors.
Hegland convened a committee to bring new ideas to the table and make the summer afternoon events more appealing. In the works are plans to bring in entertainment, car shows, food options and kids activities, such as inflatables, a petting zoo, and/or selfie booth. Local businesses will have an opportunity to get involved by offering sales or specials and staying open late.
