Spring Clean Up Week May 16-20, landfill open May 21

New Rockford Spring Clean-Up Week will be held May 16-20, with curbside pickup again limited to tires, appliances and furniture. Tires and appliances will be picked up Tuesday, May 17, and furniture will be picked up Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19.

Residents must have their items on the boulevard on the morning of the designated pickup day, sorted and separated, in order to take advantage of curbside pickup. All other items left on the boulevard will not be picked up, and property owners will need to haul them out to the landfill on the first free landfill day, which is set for Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Household garbage should be put in a green Waste Management container (tote or dumpster), and all leaves and yard debris should go to the compost pile south of the Eagles Club on the west side of 8th Street.
