Fishing:
*Devils Lake elevation, July 5: 1,450.71 feet above mean sea level (MSL).
*Stump Lake elevation: 1,450.74 MSL.
*Lake Sakakawea elevation: 1,836.7 MSL; 20,900 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.
*N.D. Game & Fish Dept. Dist. game wardens: No east-central area lakes or Devils Lake reports. Scattered walleye activity on the east end of Lake Sakakawea with good success throughout the midsection. No Missouri River reports.
*Devils Lake, Ed’s Bait Shop, Devils Lake: Continued fair to good walleye success.
*Devils Lake, West Bay Resort, Minnewaukan: Some inconsistent walleye activity after weather fronts moved through. Try 10 to 20 feet but mix up depths and presentations to locate fish.
*Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Walleye moving into deeper water with warmer weather. Try bottom bouncers and spinners with nightcrawlers or leeches working weed edges or along the Golden Highway. Work deep for some nice white bass activity.
*Foster County area lakes, Dry Dock, Carrington: No new reports from area lakes.
*Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Lots of activity throughout area lakes using leeches or nightcrawlers.
*Lake Ashtabula, The Hungry Pelican at the Crossing, Luverne: Lots of activity with anglers working both sides of the crossing and finding a nice mix of walleye and perch.
*Lake Ashtabula, Bayshore, Valley City: Continued steady perch and walleye success with improving bass activity.
*Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait & Tackle, Garrison: Try 14 to 22 feet for walleye along Steinke, de Trobriand, or Garrison bays as well as Indian Hills on the east end of Lake Sakakawea.
*Lake Sakakawea, Indian Hills Resort, Garrison: Fair to good for walleye. Try 8 to 22 feet along the warmer water of the south side with leeches or nightcrawlers. A few anglers still finding success on minnows.
*Lakes Audubon & Sakakawea, Hwy. 83 Lawn & Leisure, Garrison: Fair to good for walleye on the east end of Lake Sakakawea. Try 15 to 25 feet depending on the wind around 7 Sisters, main lake east end humps, or northeast corner of Mallard Island using slow death hooks and plain hook or bottom bouncers. Leeches starting to produce success.
*Lake Sakakawea/Lake Audubon/Missouri River, Scott’s Bait and Tackle, Pick City: Missouri River tailrace producing a nice mix of walleye and catfish from boats with improving sizes showing up. Try the “blowout” hole using a variety of presentations with overall generally fair to good success. Try the spillway area or boat ramp from shore, as well, for both catfish and walleye. East end of Lake Sakakawea still a little inconsistent but generally improving walleye success. Try Douglas Bay, islands along the east end, points, and general areas along the north shore in 12 to 18 feet using spinners and nightcrawlers or leeches. A few small salmon coming from the face of the dam using a variety of presentations.

*James River, Kensal: River stage, 6.04 feet; streamflow, 285 CFS.
*Pembina River, Walhalla: River stage, 4.2 feet; streamflow, 794 CFS.
*Red River, Grand Forks: River stage, 20.04 feet; streamflow, 10,100 CFS.
*Sheyenne River, Warwick: River stage, 3.45 feet; streamflow, 139 CFS.
