Summer spruce-up underway at school

Crews are working to complete a few improvements to the NR-S School campus before classes resume later this month. On Wednesday, two firms were at work on the north side of the building.

Reporter Nathan Price captured this photo of Lesmeister Construction tearing up the concrete main entrance. The board approved a $20,000 bid from them this past month to demolish the aging infrastructure and pour a new ADA-compliant main entrance.  

Meanwhile, A&R Roofing of Devils Lake is in the process of replacing the north section of the school's rubber roof, from the main entrance to the fire doors, at a cost of $156,200.
