NDSU Extension offers food preservation workshop

Love that fresh garden produce but have more than you can eat? Preserve it! It’s not difficult, but you do need to follow safe methods. This introductory hands-on workshop offers you the opportunity to learn safe food preservation techniques. You’ll learn how to water bath can and pressure can foods safely at home in this introductory course.

Intended audience: Adults age 18 years or older

Format: One 3-hour class

Where: Carrington High School FACS Classroom

When: September 6, 2022 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $20 per person

Spaces are limited. Pre-Registration is required. All participants will receive educational materials and a take home canned tomatoes and pressured canned green beans that participants will make in the workshop.
