On August 10, Rance and Jena Brown and son Rowan left Sheyenne and headed to Stanton to visit with Rance's family. They also visited friends in the Stanton area. Jena and Rowan were in Bismarck one day for a visit and supper at the home of Larry and Cabrini Koffler and Nate. The Browns returned to their home at Sun Prairie, Wisc. on August 13.
Friday, August 19, Patti Clifton met her brother Dave Hoffman from Fargo in Devils Lake where they attended the funeral service for Richard Anderson at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Richard "Rick" was the husband of their cousin Shar Hoffman Anderson. Following interment, fellowship and lunch was served at the church.
Bonnie Deegan and Patti Clifton joined friends and family at Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon for the funeral service of Kay Griffin on Tuesday, August 23. Jan Loe also attended and helped the Calvary ladies in the kitchen for coffee, bars and fellowship following the
service and inurnment Patti Clifton rode along to Jamestown with Jan Loe on Wednesday, August 24. On the way to Jamestown, they stopped for lunch at the Pingree Community Cafe. In Jamestown, they did some recycling and shopping.
