On Saturday, Sept. 10, Carrington Public Schools hosted their junior high volleyball jamboree.
Seventh- and eighth- grade teams came from Devils Lake, Jamestown, Barnes County North Griggs-Midkota, Harvey/Wells County, New Rockford-Sheyenne and Carrington.
With matches going on three courts, the jamboree went fairly quick.
New Rockford-Sheyenne only brought their seventh-grade team. The Rockets started their day off at 9:40 a.m. against the Griggs-Midkota Titans seventh-grade team.
The Rockets and Titans each walked away with a win in one-of-two sets.
Next up on the schedule were the Carrington Cardinals, who defeated the Rockets in both sets.
The third and final game of the day for the Rockets was against the Devils Lake White team. The Firebirds defeated the Rockets in both sets.
The junior high team traveled to Devils Lake on Tuesday, Sept. 13 to take on the Devils Lake Firebirds. Both the seventh-and-eighth grade teams defeated the Firebirds in two sets.
The junior high Rockets will host the New Rockford junior high tournament on Saturday, Sept. 24.
