Nicolai Chiropractic Center, P.C. is welcoming a new, yet familiar chiropractor to the practice.
Dr. Kimberly Weber, née Thompson, a graduate of New Rockford High School, will be joining Nicolai Chiropractic beginning Monday, Oct. 3.
Weber, a mother of three daughters, has been living in the area with her family since 2016, but had been working at Qual Chiropractic in Jamestown since graduating from Logan University as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
"I started a little bit in a different community, but I had every intention of coming back," said Weber, "and now while my kiddos are young I'd like to be closer to home and spend more time with them. It was just a good opportunity to be closer to my community and to my kids."
She also said she's excited to get to work helping residents in the community where she was raised and that she and her family call home.
"Giving back to my community what they gave to me," said Kimberly when asked what she's looking forward to most about the next chapter in her career.
She added, "helping people locally that we know personally and to meet new people that maybe I don't know around town, and to just be a bit more of a better face in this community."
Weber said she's always been interested in the medical field and the idea of helping people out.
She originally got a surgical tech degree, and "kinda went through nursing a little bit," before eventually settling on chiropractic.
"We kind of discussed the opportunities that this job can elicit, and it just kind of clicked," she said. "I just enjoy being one on one with people, so that we can kinda help people deep dive into their health issues if they need it, and hopefully come out on the better end of things.
"It's a different way of approaching health care sometimes," she added, "but I think beneficial for people that need it."
Weber also brings a unique specialty to Nicolai Chiropractic.
"I'm Webster certified," she said, "which is specifically for pregnant mommas and babies thereafter."
She added that treating moms both before and after pregnancy, as well as their infants, is one of her favorite things to do as a chiropractor.
Dr. Nicolai said he's excited for the added services and benefits she'll be able to provide to residents in the area.
"I'm just very excited to have Dr. Weber joining our staff here in New Rockford," said Nicolai, "and looking forward to working with her for many years. I know that it'll help our patients to have more doctors here to cover their needs."
Dr. Weber is available for appointments Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
