Lois L. Brown, age 90, passed away on November 12, 2022, at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, North Dakota.

Lois Isabel LaPlante was born March 30 of 1932 in Binford, North Dakota, to Bruce and Edna (Lewis) LaPlante. She graduated from Binford High School and furthered her education at the North Dakota Agricultural College, receiving her Bachelor of Science in home economics. She taught home economics education for three years before marrying Kenneth Wakefield. Ken and Lois raised three children in Cooperstown, N.D. She was an excellent seamstress, and spent many hours making, mending, and altering clothes. Additionally, she loved hosting friends and family, most notably at Christmas time.
