With Thanksgiving behind us, it’s finally time to deck our homes with boughs of lawn ornaments, illuminated inflatables and Christmas lights, all for a chance to win Chamber bucks!
For the third year running, Bank Forward and the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation (NRABC) are sponsoring the Holiday Lights Driving Tour in New Rockford.
The competition is open to all New Rockford home owners, with the first, second and third place finishers each receiving $500 in Chamber bucks!
You can sign up for the contest at http://www.cityofnewrockford.com, by messaging the NRABC on Facebook, or by placing a call to (701) 947-2205. The deadline for sign-ups is December 15.
This year, the entire community will get to see a list of the homes entered, and anyone will be able to vote for their favorites online or by dropping off their vote at the City Hall drop box.
Judging and voting will take place from Thursday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 23, so be sure to have your decorations assembled, lit up, and/or inflated throughout that week.
The NRABC also encourages residents to support the local economy this holiday season by purchasing their lights and decor locally.
The winners will be posted on social media and featured in a future edition of the Transcript. May the best-decorated homes win!
