James Allen Dennis, Jr., 91, of New Rockford, N.D. passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at his home with his loving wife Patty by his side.

Visitation was Friday, Jan. 6 from 1-5 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

His funeral service was held Saturday, January 7 at 3 p.m., at Evans Funeral Home in New Rockford, with Chaplain David Fisher officiating. Special music was "Amazing Grace," "I Love To Tell the Story," and "Old Rugged Cross." His burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.

Pallbearers were Tony Jensen, Kaden Jensen, Gene Kaul, Treyton Kaul, Steven Kaul, Michael Kaul, Marlin Weisenburger and Korey Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were all of Jim's grandchildren and great grandchildren.

James Allen Dennis Jr. was born on September 27, 1931 to Alice (Sheppard) and James Dennis Sr. in St. Paul, Minn. James received his GED while in the United States Army.

After being discharged from the Army, he worked as a construction Superintendent. James was united in marriage to Marvel Ohmann, they were blessed with eight children. Marvel passed away in 1979. James was later married to Patricia (Kaul) Jensen on February 23, 1991 in New Rockford, N.D.

James was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed wood working, scuba diving, visiting with family and friends. James would like to be remembered for his love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; eight children, one stepson; forty-eight grandchildren and great grandchildren and four sisters.

James is preceded in death by his first wife, Marvel; his parents, James Sr. and Alice; two brothers and a sister.
