Shirley Packard enjoyed a phone call with her sister, Vida Klocke, on Sunday.

Janet Laube and YipYip were pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from grandson David Youle of Mandan one afternoon, and another phone call from niece Robin Westal in Fargo. All are well.

Eloise Lucht heard from her sons Larry of Virginia and Alan of Germany. Both are doing fine. Alan was recently in Texas for work. Knowing a long time friend, Paul Neuhart, lived there, he contacted him and they got together to catch up on the years and their lives. Alan told mom that his daughter Johanna made it safely back to California and her job at NASA after an extended trip to Germany.

Todd Harrison and Calvin Packard have been helping Shirley Packard get accustomed to her new sight-impaired phone and reading among other helpful errands.

Ken and Marvis Holte enjoyed phone calls on Sunday with daughter Fayette Nelson of Devils Lake and son Loren Holte of Bismarck. Granddaughter Mckenzie Holte will be celebrating her 16th birthday on Monday, Jan. 30.

Sunday, Margie Anderson was among those who enjoyed a potluck dinner after services at Kvernes Lutheran Church followed by the annual meting.
