Night to Shine held their prom on Friday, February 10 at New Life on Main Church in Harvey.
The Night to Shine event is held annually and is hosted by churches and communities of faith and sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
There were 75 guests at this event which included nine students from Carrington, New Rockford, Kensal, and Fessenden.
The event was decorated with a starry night-themed room. The tables were covered with royal blue tablecloths, the centerpieces were lighted and resembled fireworks that glowed. The chandelier was hanging in the middle of the room, and a shine emitted from it as it was adorned with jewels.
The Grand March started at 6:30 p.m., with guests walking down a red carpet and given a tiara or crown by Mrs. North Dakota International herself. The church was full of friends, family and volunteers who clapped as guests walked down the red carpet.
After the Grand March, there were limo rides around the town.
For food there were French fries, chicken strips, a variety of fruits and vegetables, lemonade or water and cupcakes.
There were many activities that you could do.
There was a sensory room for sensitive people, a room for parents to relax, dancing, pictures and limo rides.
The night ended with a blast. As the DJ ended the final song, everyone said goodbye to each other as they grabbed their coats, were given a gift bag, handed in their nametags and headed out to their rides back home.
