LRSC playmakers to present "The Importance of Being Earnest"

The Lake Region State College Playmakers present “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde. This production is a delightful comedy.

Show dates are March 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. and March 5 at 2 p.m. in the Robert Fawcett Auditorium.

This family-friendly play gently ridicules the manners of the upper-class in 1895 London. Wilde called it a “trivial comedy for serious people.”

Hilarious lines are delivered with utmost sincerity and the audience will discover the vital “importance of being earnest.”

Cast includes Charles Craddock as John Worthing; Celeste McCash as Algernon Moncrief; Gavin Eback as Rev. Canon Chasuble; Marcus Christianson as Merriman/Lane; Sim Ritter as Lady Bracknell; Kyza Kadlec as Gwendolen Fairfax; Mary Fernandez as Cecily Cardew; and Megan Green as Miss Prism.

Director is April Hubbard. Stage manager is Natasha Lesmann and Assistant Stage Manager is Savannah Christensen. The set was constructed by Jack Brossart and Crucible Steinman was in charge of props.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for seniors and children. LRSC students are Free.
