Charlotte Koepplin was out and about town on Monday taking care of necessary errands. Karen Koepplin was a brief stopper at Charlotte’s.

Jimmy Indergaard was a supper guest on Saturday at the Andy and Ruth Braaten home and he enjoyed a Saturday phone call from his sister Sharon Laxdal. Sunday they visited at the Mervin Indergaard and Vicki Magill home and all later took in a show in New Rockford.

Jerry and Carol Clancy of Thompson were among many who took 90th birthday greetings to Margie Anderson Saturday afternoon at the Heritage House in New Rockford (see below). Family, friends and neighbors made Margie’s day special. The Clancy’s stopped briefly at the Charlotte Koepplin home while in New Rockford.

Saturday evening, Charlotte Koepplin was treated to a night out and a belated birthday supper by Todd and Karen Koepplin at the Bordulac Bar & Grill. The evening started out with a roadie, and other family – such as Janelle, Aaron and Danielle, Taylor and Amanda and Allyssa Koepplin – all joined for supper. Charlotte enjoyed the time with family and the food was simply delicious and filling.

A birthday celebration

Marjorie Anderson celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, April 29 with an open house at the Heritage House hosted by her family. Morgan Lies provided a few songs to start the party at 2 p.m.

Grandson Andrew Anderson flew home from San Francisco, granddaughter Joanna Larson came from Stockholm, Sweden. Other family members driving from distances away helped serve cake and refreshments to the well-wishers stopped by.

Marjorie was especially elated to see niece Jess Barua and son Ari from Minneapolis, niece Cheryl Erhardt from O’Fallon, Ill., cousin Vivian Bailly of Rapid City who were driven up by their daughters Cheryl and Judy from Colorado Springs. Joe’s cousin Peggy (Christ) and Joe Henry of Crookston brought wishes from their family.

Verna (Hanson) Mangin and Karen (Hanson) Meyer came from West Fargo and Devils Lake.

Carolyn (Steele) Folden made the drive from Parshall. Heidi from Mankato picked up her mom, Helen Emery, in Grand Forks.

Margie thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone, sharing stories, reminiscing and visiting even if only for a brief time, with all the friends and neighbors from around the area that came together to celebrate with her. The Heritage House dining room provided a splendid backdrop for the beautiful floral arrangements from family and friends.

The Anderson family gathered at the Gary and Kathy Anderson house for supper after the open house. Good food and conversation was enjoyed into the evening.

Wednesday morning, Joan Heckaman of Dickinson brought early birthday greetings to Margie, as did Barb Messener, Tiffany Schaefer and Roger and Diane Langley this week.
