Eloise Lucht heard from son Alan and Julie. They made it safely back to Germany. They have plans to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Iceland.
Grandson Scott Laube was a visitor of Janet Laube Thursday. He brought news and pictures of YipYip. Yip is loving his new home with Scott, chasing those Minnesota squirrels and getting along with Annie, his new four-legged friend.
Mother’s Day found Marvis Holte getting roses from son Jim of Minot. Daughter Amanda and Cody Bickett brought goodies and daughter Fayette Nelson of Devils Lake arrived with wishes of the day and made supper for all. This Friday, son Loren and Amber Holte and McKenzie came from Bismarck. They drove to Devils Lake and treated sister Fayette to supper out in celebration of her birthday. Marvis recently returned home from Bismarck following her third chemo treatment. She is doing fine and also enjoyed a phone call from her brother Cory Birkholz of Grand Forks.
Calvin Packard has been busy in mom Shirley Packard’s yard this week. Tuesday, they drove out to Prairie Home Cemetery where they cleaned around and decorated loved ones’ graves in honor of Memorial Day. Saturday they did errands around town.
Monday, Eloise Lucht had good news following an appointment at the eye clinic in Devils Lake. She was an overnight guest in Devils Lake with her sister Ardy and Glen Salisbury. Tuesday Eloise, along with daughter Heidi Schneider, Ardy Salisbury and Dawn Stoe, drove to Minot where Eloise and Ardy had appointments for their eyes with good results for both.
Candy Jensen enjoyed a phone call from son, Jerrod Holte, along with a picture from him showing the huge truck he will be driving on his new job.
Janet Laube is getting accustomed to being a resident at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd. She is doing great and enjoyed calls from grandsons Travis and Scott Laube, niece Robin Westall, sister-in-law Lois Ockert and niece Shelly Nelson this week.
