Throughout much of last week, street sweepers were out in abundance on the streets of New Rockford, sweeping up the loose chips that still remained after paved roads in town were chip sealed the week prior.
The chip sealing process and subsequent sweeping effort capped off the New Rockford Street Improvement Project – a multi-million dollar effort to improve the streets in New Rockford, both paved and gravel, as well as the city's alleyways. According to Public Works Superintendent Bruce Hirchert, only a few minor repairs remain.
