Disaster Exercise on Aug. 29

It’s only an exercise! Area first responders, including fire department, ambulance and law enforcement agencies, will be responding to a simulated event on August 29 at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Emergency vehicles and possible smoke will be seen around and by the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd.

Please stay clear of the area around the nursing home during this time. The fire alarms will sound at the beginning of the exercise like they would in a real situation. First responders will be responding as if it is a real emergency.

This type of training is essential for local first responders to deal with possible real-world events.
