New Rockford and surrounding communities extend sympathy to the family of Pete Erickson.

Christopher and Jaxon Buck visited with Roger Topp Monday and proudly read him their story books from school.

Guests at the Todd Harrison home over the weekend and Pumpkin Day were his sister Teresa from Arizona and his daughter Veronica. They also visited at the Shirley Packard home.

Saturday visitors at the Ken and Marvis Holte home was son, Loren Holte of Bismarck and Cody and Amanda Bickett,with Izzy. Sunday all enjoyed a pork chop dinner made by Loren.

Heidi Schneider and Callie were recent visitors and supper guests at the Eloise Lucht home.

Monday found Calvin Packard showing off the Eddy County Museum to Todd Harrison, his daughter Veronica and his sister Teresa.

Roger Topp enjoyed activities at Steam Threshers Reunion in New Rockford on Friday.

Tuesday Shirley Packard had an unforeseen battle with a coat rack. Help came after a beckoning call. She needed help getting up. She is fine, no injuries.

Eddy County Museum with volunteers Tim Hartl and Jamie Allmaras was open during Steam Threshers Reunion. It was busy yet Monday when students from Mid-Kota high school came to explore the treasures the museum holds.

Friday Calvin Packard and mom, Shirley, drove to Carrington where they enjoyed supper at the Prairie Inn. Afternoon had found Mary Ghertz helping out at Shirley's.

Steam Threshers Reunion in New Rockford started off with a bang Thursday Sept. 14 with the Annual Tractor Drive organized by member John Lee. A good number of tractors took part as they left New Rockford and made their way to Sheyenne where all enjoyed a full course dinner prepared and served by the Sheyenne ladies. Then it was back to New Rockford. Friday came around, slated "School Day'' and found 238 students from area schools attending and checking out activities at the steam show. These students received free entry at the gates. The New Rockford-Sheyenne school choir sang the National Anthem to start activities at the show. All in all, the three day annual event was well-attended. Members, comers and goers were thankful for the good weather. No medical incidents occurred.

Eloise Lucht enjoyed a Sunday phone call from son Scott, and also son Alan from Germany. Alan and Julie plan to be in North Dakota in October. Julie will be visiting family in Fargo and Alan will be with mom, Eloise, on Halloween.

Janelle Koepplin, Todd and Karen Koepplin and Charlotte Koepplin were Sunday supper guests at the Taylor and Amanda Koepplin home following a sauerkraut-making bee.
