Word was received from Harold Price of Moultrie, Ga. that his uncle Perry Price of Belgrade, Mont. had suddenly passed away Sunday, Sept. 17 at his home. Perry was the last living child of 10 children of the late Arville and Lula Price, long time New Rockford residents. The Price family is a part of the history of New Rockford. Many New Rockford residents were employed working in Price's food concessions during summer months traveling to fairs in several towns. Perry is remembered for his fine singing voice. Rumor was that Perry was the fifth cousin to Ray Brice, the country music singer, and he flipped concession burgers while singing and listening to Ray Price music. Perry was a 1956 high school graduate of New Rockford. He holds the NRHS record for the javelin throw from that year.
