A big announcement came on Sunday, October 15, at the first Trail Riders Club meeting of the new 4-H year.
Eddy County farmer and long-time 4-H supporter Brenda Rue was the recipient of $5,000 from the America's Farmers Grow Communities Bayer Fund program. She chose to donate the funds to Eddy County 4-H to put towards renovations of the static building. It was the first formal donation made towards the project, according to NDSU Extension Agent Michelle Gilley.
"Improvements to the building will allow it to be used year round for 4-H activities and meetings, as well as community events," Rue said. "I'm also excited to see the shooting sports club have an opportunity to use the space during the winter months and grow the program."
