Ostby Hall bingo wrapped up for the season and will resume the first weekend in March of 2024. Bingo volunteer groups for the 2023 season were from the Sheyenne Civic Association, Sheyenne Fire Department and Sheyenne GRIT. They all deserve a break for the winter!

Jan Loe attended the memorial service for Lloyd Burgess at Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan on Saturday morning, Oct. 28.

The First Lutheran Church Fall Dinner and Bake Sale on Sunday, Oct. 29, served about 200 people who braved the icy/snowy roads. The dinner and bake sale brought in around $3,000 for the benefit of the Holy Cross and Riverside cemeteries. Thrivent support of $250 was much appreciated. Many church families and community members donated baked goods and their time to make the event possible. Special appreciation to Liz Swenson for donating her famous homemade buns for the dinner.

The Halloween Party at Open Season Lodge the afternoon of Oct. 29 was well attended. About 60 trick or treaters enjoyed games, treats and showing off their costumes without having to tromp through the snow! The Lodge hopes to hold the event again next year.
