This year’s Spring Clean-Up in New Rockford will be held May 13-17, with curbside pickup once again limited to tires, appliances and furniture.
Tires and appliances will be picked up Tuesday, May 14, and furniture will be picked up Wednesday and Thursday.
Residents must have their items on the boulevard on the morning of the designated pickup day, sorted and separated, in order to take advantage of curbside pickup.
ONLY tires, appliances and furniture will be picked up. All other items left on the boulevard will not be picked up, and property owners will need to haul them out to the landfill on the first free landfill day, which is set for Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
All household garbage should be put in a Waste Management container (tote or dumpster), and all leaves and yard debris should go to the compost pile south of the Eagles Club on 8th Street.
Other free landfill days scheduled for the remainder of this year are June 5, July 20, August 7, September 21, October 2 and October 19. Clip the ad with all the dates printed on page 3 and put it on your fridge or bulletin board.
Refrigerators and freezers must have freon removed before being dumped. Pesticide containers, asbestos, paint, propane tanks, oil filters, batteries or any form of hazardous waste are not allowed. Electronics are accepted with a minimum $10 fee per item.
