NR-S golfer Jackson Schumacher and his team have gone to three meets in recent days.
At the Cooperstown Varsity invite on Thursday, May 2, Schumacher enjoyed an excellent outing and tied for third place.
In only nine holes due to weather, he shot just two over par for a final score of 39. The only other NR-S student at the meet was Shaun Reimche, who finished with a score of 57.
A few days later, on Monday, May 6, the Rockets didn’t have their best outing, as none of the three Rocket golfers who competed placed. Reimche finished best among the Rockets with a score of 96, while Schumacher finished with a score of 100 and Kage Walford with 104.
On Wednesday, May 8, Schumacher and Walford were the only Rockets who traveled to Rose Creek in Fargo for another meet. Schumacher placed seventh with a score of 80.
Schumacher’s back nine performance was particularly exceptional, as he shot three under for holes 8-16, with five pars and three birdies for a score of 36 on the back nine.
