Shirley Packard received Mother's Day greetings from family in the form of calls, flowers and special food deliveries, which made for a happy Mother's Day.

Saturday found Ken and Marvis Holte enjoying a visit over coffee at the Chieftain with Lester and Val Ellingson and Alan Lange. Son Loren Holte of Bismarck was a weekend guest at the Holtes' home. The family, including Cody and Amanda Bickett, attended Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday and later all enjoyed the Mother's Day buffet at the Chieftain. Marvis received a beautiful rose plant from daughter Fayette Nelson.

Calvin Packard, Kevin Johnson, Fred Allmaras, Brian Hopfauf and Bucky Shroyer were among the crew for Steam Threshers that planted spuds Sunday.

Karen Koepplin and Allyssa Lewis, Kenna and Grady drove to Bordulac Sunday where they enjoyed the Mother's Day buffet dinner at the Bordulac Bar and Grill and got to visit with Aaron and Danielle Koepplin and family. Janelle Koepplin and the Dan Beckley family also enjoyed the buffet.

Eloise Lucht enjoyed an early Mother's Day call Saturday from son Alan in Germany, also from son Larry and family in Virginia, and daughter Heidi and Jay Schneider of Devils Lake.

Candy Jensen enjoyed Mother's Day greetings from son Jerrod and Angie Holte of Cathay and son Derik and Val Holte of Minneapolis. Candy also received greetings of the day from Terry and Sandy Koepplin, Gina Clifton and Melony Allmaras.

Friday visitors at the Candy Jensen home were Rick and Cora Koepplin and Katie.

Circle Trail Riders met on Monday evening at the Charlotte Koepplin home. Nine were present and final plans were made for the upcoming June trail ride.
